A four-day long colloquium at the Institute of Tropical Medicine has recently been finished . The colloquium theme was “The Human Factor: The Social Sciences in Global Health Research”. The objective of the colloquium was to show how the collaboration of the social sciences with other health sciences and social actors can improve global health research. About 240 participants including social scientists, anthropologists, epidemiologists, pharmacists, program planners and also people from different non -scientific disciplines from 58 different countries gathered in Antwerp and made the event remarkable.
