The W&CHRC has three priority research themes:

Adolescent health

Improved pregnancy outcomes through life-cycle approach with the objective to assess the benefits of peri-conceptional and prenatal interventions on women (including adolescents) and child health.

Perinatal health

Continuum of care between prenatal and postnatal periods with the objective of testing the feasibility and impact of an enhanced continuum of care.

Sexual and Reproductive health

Access to and quality of woman and child health services including family planning and STI/HIV services, with the objective to assess the effectiveness and the efficiency of several interventions to improve access to quality care of W&C health services.
