Workshop in Dakar, Senegal

The Network for Scientific Support in the Field of Sexual and Reproductive Health will meet for its second workshop in Dakar, Senegal from 12 to 16 January 2015. The purpose of this network is mainly to build the capacity of southern researchers to implement researches aimed at improving health systems and the well being of the population of these countries.
The network will bring together researchers from different research institutes from eight countries in North and West Africa (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Benin, Guinea, Senegal and Ivory Coast). Some ITM researchers will also attend. The main objective of the workshop is to finalize the research protocols for submission to donors. The proposals are on family planning, sexuality on post partum, breast cancer and conditional cash transfer. Other activities such as seminars on methodologies and ethics principles on research will also be conducted. From more information on this network, visit their website.
